Sensitization, training workshop for private Practitioners, owners held

UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER-28: – A day long sensitization and Training Workshop for Private practitioners and owners of Private Health establishments of the district was organized by District TB Control Society, (DTCS), here today.

As many as, 35 Private practitioners and owners of Private Health Establishments participated in the workshop and were sensitized about the importance and need of achieving the target set by the Prime Minister of India for eliminating TB from the country by 2025.

The aim of the sensitization workshop was to bring all the Private practitioners and owners of Private Health Establishments to a common platform.

It was informed by the District Tuberculosis Officer, that about 80 per cent of TB Patients first attend the Private Sector and despite the best efforts of Government Health Institutions about 40 per cent people with TB in India are still either not diagnosed or are not reported for Treatment, Supervision and Monitoring.

On the occasion, WHO Consultant, Dr. Sanjay Arora, presented a Power Point Presentation giving the technical details besides highlighting NIKSHAY Portal requirements needed for uploading of the Patients to be reported by the Private Partners (Private practitioners and owners of Private Health Establishments) on the Portal through.
