KATHUA, NOVEMBER 30:- Polling parties were sent today for sixth phase of panchayat elections in Hiranagar, Kathua and Marheen blocks of the district under the supervision of District Panchayat Election officer, Rohit Khajuria.
The District Panchayat Election officer instructed the Returning Officers to visit their allotted Halqas well in advance in order to get detailed on spot assessment of accessibility, security, counting plan as well as lighting arrangements required during polling and counting. He also instructed the ROs to submit the layout plan of counting centres to Election Centre well in advance.
Pertinently, 413 poll parties were dispatched for smooth and safe conduct of elections in 53 panchayat halqas spread across three blocks of Hiranagar, Kathua and Marheen, where the polling would be conducted on 1st December 2018.
ADC, Ghanshyam Singh, SSP, Shridhar Patil, ACR, Jatinder Mishra, ASP, Nasir Khan, Dy DEO, Chand Kishore Sharma and Tehsildar were present on the occasion.
