BUDGAM, DECEMBER 08: Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Khurshid Ahmad Shah who also holds the charge of District Programme Officer (DPO) today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of the ICDS project in Budgam.
The DPO took an in-depth review of the functioning of PMMVY, Ladle Beti schemes and social assistance schemes during the review meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the DPO appreciated the performance of the project and urged the field functionaries to conduct more outreach awareness campaigns so that benefits of the welfare schemes reach to deserving people.
He further asked the concerned to use modern technology such as WhatsApp groups to monitor the functioning of the Anganwadi centres.
The DPO directed the all CDPOs and superiors to maintain their tour diaries.
He also urged them to focus on activities other than providing nutrition such as preschool education and health and hygiene. The Aadhar enrolment was also held during the meeting.
During the meeting, it was informed that nutri-palav and channa palav is been served at all Anganwadi Centers of Budgam since ending October.
Following the review meeting, the ADC also conducted an on-spot inspection of the under-construction store and middle-level training centre.
Among others, the meeting was attended by CDPO Budgam and supervisors of their concerned zones.
