JAMMU, DECEMBER 21: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements being put in place for Republic day celebration.
Joint Commissioner JMC P S Manhas, Joint Director Information, Naresh Kumar, SE PDD Jammu, Karam Chand, DNO NHM, Dr Harleen Rai, Activity Incharge DYSS, Rajinder Kotwal besides senior functionaries of CCDU, Rural Sanitation and other concerned attended the meeting.
Officials of JMC, NHM apprised the meeting about their themes and arrangements for tableau display during the republic day celebration, while CCDU and PDD were directed to finalize the theme for tableau and convey the same timely. It was informed that total 5 Tableau would be displayed at the republic day function.
Activity In charge Youth Services and Sports apprised about cultural items and march-past to be presented at the national event. It was informed that students have been selected for different activities and the rehearsals are in progress. It was informed that 200 to 250 students are participating in activities.
It was further informed that there would be 5 cultural items during the event. The final rehearsals will be held at the venue of function before 5 days.
The DC asked the officers to put in place all necessary arrangements well in time so as to ensure successful celebration of the Republic Day.
