ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 22: To review the preparedness for the Republic Day Celebrations – 2019, the Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, today convened a meeting of the officers here at Dak Bunglow Khanabal, Anantnag.
It was given out that the main function shall be held at Government Degree College (Boys) Khanabal ground, where tricolor will be unfurled. The contingents of J&K Police, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, Fire & Emergency Services, Home-guard, NCC & School children shall participate in the March Past. Besides the tableaus of various flagship programmes showcasing their achievements, shall also be part of the function. The cultural groups and school children will perform theme based cultural programmes. Similar functions shall be held at Sub-Divisional and Tehsil Headquarters.
Detailed discussions were held regarding venue, stage, security arrangements, sanitation, electricity, drinking water facility, Medicare, seating and heating arrangements, transport and parking facility, barricading, refreshments & illumination of government buildings. DC directed upon all the officers to ensure the presence of their subordinate staff in the main function. RDD Department was directed to send special invitations to the newly elected Panchs and Sarpanchs. Similarly, newly elected Members of Municipal Committees would also be invited to attend the function. ADDC was directed that invitation cards be prepared well in time so that they could be sent to the respectable citizens, dignitaries and others at earliest. To avoid interruption in the function due to inclement weather, R&B & Mechanical Departments were directed to be in readiness mode.
SSP, Anantnag stressed that all departments must work in coordination and better synergy. Various committees were constituted to oversee the preparations till the culmination of main function. DC emphasized upon the participants that everybody must know his role and perform with utmost dedication to ensure the function successful.
Among others the meeting was attended by SSP Anantnag, Mohammad Altaf Khan, ADDC Anantnag Riyaz Ahmad Sofi, Joint Director School Education, Nasir Ahmad Lone, SE R&B, SE Mechanical, Principal GDC, Anantnag, CEOs of Development Authorities, ACD Anantnag, all SDMs, Xens of R&B, PDD, PHE, I&FC, Dy. SP, Representatives from Army, CRPF & other district officers.
