Doda: FCR reviews progress on land record digitization

DODA, DECEMBER 26:- Financial Commissioner Revenue (FCR), Dr Pawan Kotwal, today reviewed progress on digitization of land records here at a meeting of concerned district level authorities.

Deputy Commissioner Anshul Garg briefed about the status of the implementation of the 2nd phase of Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (DILRMP).

He apprised that about 133908 documents have been scanned of which 39026 pages stand checked by the Department in terms of its quality.

Financial Commissioner Revenue directed the Revenue Officers to speed up the process of digitization to meet the deadline of June 15 2019. He also called for updation of Jamabandies which is crucial for implementation of Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (DILRMP)

While inspecting the ongoing scanning work, Dr. Kotwal asked the DC to explore the possibility of providing more space to the Regional Director for installation of additional scanning machines and creating more quality-check cells. He further asked for deputing dedicated staff for quality check of scanned record.

He also asked the DDC to work out the estimate and prepare type-design for modern record room. He also reviewed the overall functioning of Revenue Department and laid stress on removal of encroachment from the state land.

Among others present were Shabaz Ahmed Mirza, Commissioner Survey and Land Record J&K, ADDC Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik, ADC Bhaderwah Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti, ACR Doda Dil Mir Choudhary, SDM Thathri Mohammad Anwar Banday, SDM Assar Varunjeet Charak besides Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildars.

Later, Financial Commissioner Revenue along with Commissioner Survey and Land Record visited Bhaderwah and inaugurated Additional Centre of DILRMP at Revenue Complex Bhaderwah.

They also reviewed the ongoing work of Revenue Complex which is being constructed by JKPCC at an estimated cost of Rs 5.14 crore.
