POONCH, JANUARY 03: Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav today reviewed the arrangements for Gurpurab, Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, here at a meeting attended by officers of various departments and members of District Gurdwara Parbandak Committee.
It was informed that the Nagar Kirtan procession will be taken out on January 11, followed by Gurpurab celebration on January 13.
Threadbare discussion was held on several important issues including un-interrupted power and water supply, security arrangement during Nagar Kirtan, special drive for sanitation around the Gurdwaras and enroute, security arrangements besides deployment of medical teams and ambulances during the congregations.
The DC directed the EO Municipality to ensure cleanliness in identified religious places , while PHE and PDD Departments were asked to provide uninterrupted water and power supply along with additional water tankers at the main venues.
The Police authorities were asked to make foolproof security arrangements by deploying adequate number of security personnel at all important places.
The meeting was attended by ADC, SSP, EO Municipality, Xen’s, AEEs and JEs of PHE, PWD besides President DGPC Narinder Singh, Anmol Singh (President GRDSS), Mandhir Singh, Joint Secretary DGPC Surjan Singh.
