DC Reasi felicitates locals for rescue of injured doctors
REASI, MARCH 07: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib today felicitated the locals who helped save two doctors’ lives.
On March 5, vehicle No. JK02U 2867 in which Dr Sudesh Raina and Dr Kamil Azami, of District Hospital Reasi, met with an accident and fell into a nallah near GREF Camp Karua.
The saviours, namely Deepak Singh of Bharthal, Mangat Ram & Pankaj Sharma of Bhaga and Girdhari Lal & Pritam Chand of Kotli Manhotria immediately flung into action, broke the window panes and pulled the grievously injured doctors out of the car. They later helped admit the doctors in hospital.
The DC, upon learning about the incident felicitated the saviours and lauded their quick action.
