DODA – Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated today with immense patriotic spirit and enthusiasm across Doda district, as schools paid heartfelt tributes to the valiant heroes of the Kargil War.
The Chief Education Office Doda orchestrated a magnificent Tiranga Rally, drawing significant participation from students and staff within the municipal limits of Doda.
The rally was ceremoniously flagged off by the Worthy District Development Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh IAS, from Government Higher Secondary School (Boys), Doda. Approximately 400 students, accompanied by their teachers and school staff, paraded through the town, proudly displaying the national flag and inspiring a profound sense of national pride among onlookers.
The event was honored by the presence of Chief Education Officer Doda, Mr. Mohammad Hafiz, and Executive Officer Municipal Council Doda, Mr. Yasir Wani, who lauded the participants for their remarkable enthusiasm and discipline throughout the rally.
Beyond the central rally, schools throughout the district observed the occasion with a variety of impactful activities. These included flag hoisting ceremonies, engaging debates on patriotism and national security, spirited patriotic song competitions, games, felicitation of ex-servicemen of the locality, and creative painting contests.
