Kathua: As part of the ongoing NEP 2020 Utsav celebrations, Govt. Middle School (C), Kathua observed the 4th day of the Utsav as Sports Day, with informal yet spirited participation by students and staff, under the able guidance of Headmaster Sh. Anil Gupta.
Though no formal function was held, the school premises buzzed with energy as students took part in various traditional and fun-filled games including Chair Game, Kho-Kho, and other indigenous sports. These activities were smoothly conducted by PTI Janab Fyaz, with support from fellow staff members.
PTI Janab Fyaz also shared a few inspiring words on the importance of sports and games, emphasizing their role in physical development, mental wellness, and inculcating discipline and teamwork among students.
On this occasion, Headmaster Sh. Anil Gupta remarked:
“The National Education Policy 2020 lays strong emphasis on physical education and overall development. Celebrating Sports Day as part of NEP Utsav is a step towards that vision. It was wonderful to see students participating with such zeal. Sports should become a daily habit, not a once-a-year event.”
The day concluded with appreciation for all participants and encouragement to continue embracing sports as a vital part of school life.
