Immediate Evacuation of Village Barmini Due to Landslide Incident

In response to a severe landslide, the entire population of Village Barmini, both Lower and Upper areas, has been safely evacuated. The landslide caused the complete burial of approximately 10 to 16 houses, prompting urgent action to prevent further loss of life and property.

 

All affected families have been relocated to the Higher Secondary School in Sunjwan, which has been set up as a temporary relief and rehabilitation center. Authorities are ensuring the provision of food, shelter, and medical assistance at the site.

 

Concerned police officers and revenue officials were present on the ground and actively coordinated rescue and evacuation efforts. Their swift response played a critical role in managing the crisis and ensuring public safety.

 

Further assessments are underway to determine the full extent of the damage and to monitor the stability of the affected terrain.
