Rajouri, Dec 2025 — In a firm and uncompromising move to strengthen accountability in the district’s education system, Chief Education Officer Rajouri, Mohammad Hafiz, has taken major action against erring staff members following an extensive inspection drive across various schools. Cluster-level teams, constituted by the CEO Rajouri, the teams inspected schools to assess Mid-Day Meal (MDM) compliance, academic standards, staff punctuality and their reports revealed widespread discrepancies.
Based on the findings, the CEO Rajouri issued explanation notices to 34 schools for failing to adhere to MDM guidelines and not serving meals as per the approved menu. These schools have been directed to submit their responses within a strict timeframe, failing which further disciplinary action will follow.
Taking a tougher stand on academic negligence, the CEO withheld the salaries of all the staff members in 11 schools where serious lapses in academic performance were observed. Out of these 11 schools, 7 were also found violating the MDM menu, and 2 schools did not cook MDM at all, reflecting a clear disregard for student welfare and departmental instructions.
In another stern action, three staff members who were found absent from duty as they left school after marking their attendance, were placed under immediate suspension. CEO Rajouri described this conduct as unacceptable and a direct betrayal of professional responsibility. He made it clear that such dereliction will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
CEO Rajouri Mohammad Hafiz emphasized that ensuring quality education and nutritious meals for students is a top priority, and any lapse—whether academic, administrative, or disciplinary—will invite strict punitive measures. He also directed ZEOs and cluster heads to closely monitor compliance and ensure that all corrective steps are implemented promptly.
This decisive action by CEO Rajouri sends a strong message across the district: negligence will be met with strict consequences, and accountability will be enforced at every level.
