On 22nd January 2026, PM SHRI Government Higher Secondary School Bhalra, Bhaderwah successfully organised a series of meaningful activities under Phase-II of the 150 Years of Vande Mataram celebrations. A large number of NCC Cadets (JD & SW) of 10 J&K Battalion NCC, Bhaderwah participated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The programme featured a seminar on National Girl Child Day, focusing on girls’ empowerment, education, equal rights, and career guidance. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Koul, Associate NCC Officer, motivated cadets towards discipline, leadership, and diverse career opportunities, especially in NCC, armed forces, and civil services.
Principal Smt. Asha Bhalwal inspired students with her insightful address on dignity, health, rights, and holistic development of the girl child.
The event was enriched by a powerful poem presented by Cadet Kush, highlighting the importance of girls’ education and women empowerment.
The programme also included inspection of girls’ sanitation facilities, awareness on hygiene, and a Swachhta Abhiyan conducted by NCC cadets in preparation for Republic Day celebrations.
The activities concluded with refreshments and a strong message of equality, cleanliness, patriotism, and empowerment of the girl child.
