Doda-On the very first day after assuming charge, Zonal Education Officer Bhadarwah, Sh. Mohd Farooq Khan, who is also serving as Principal, Girls Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah, conducted a surprise inspection of Government Middle School Puneja and UPS Haliyan to assess the functioning of these institutions.
During the inspection, the ZEO laid strong emphasis on enhancing student enrollment in the schools. He clearly directed that failure to improve enrollment may lead to the merging (clubbing) of these institutions with nearby schools, urging the staff to take proactive measures in this regard.
ZEO also stressed the importance of improving the quality of classroom teaching, instructing teachers to ensure effective delivery of lessons and active student engagement. He further directed the staff to maintain regular checking of students’ notebooks to monitor academic progress and uphold academic standards.
The ZEO inspected the staff punctuality registers and reviewed the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) arrangements, issuing strict instructions for maintaining regularity, proper record-keeping, and ensuring quality implementation of the scheme.
Additionally, he emphasized the need for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the school premises and directed the staff to take immediate steps to improve sanitation without delay.
