PM Modi meets SCO Secretary General in China’s Qingdao

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met General Secretary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Rashid Alimov, which was the former’s first official engagement since landing in China’s Qingdao city.
According to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Raveesh Kumar, Alimov praised India’s contribution to SCO after becoming a full member last year.
In a series of tweets, Kumar wrote, “On the eve of #SCOSummit, Secretary General, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Rashid Alimov calls on the PM @narendramodi. SCO Secretary General said that India is contributing greatly to the organisation since it became a full member of SCO in 2017.
