Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday announced reduction in cost of power for consumers using up to 200 units.
The rate per unit in such cases has been reduced from Rs 4.50 to Rs 2.50.
With this the bill for those consuming up to 200 units will go down from Rs 937 to Rs 500.
The CM made the announcement in the Vidhan Sabha on the last day of the monsoon session.
Also, the House proceedings were adjourned for 15 minutes as INLD’s Abhay Chautala and Congress MLA Karan Dalal exchanged words and almost took off shoes to hurl at each other.
Capt Abhimayu moved a resolution to suspend Karan Dalal from the Assembly proceedings for a year for alleged irresponsible behaviour. Dalal had allegedly used an objectionable word for the state.
