n Indian Army soldier has reportedly been kidnapped by militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.
The jawan identified as Aurangzeb is a rifleman with 4 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry. A resident of Poonch, he was posted with 44 Rashtriya Rifles.
Aurangzeb was on leave and on his way home when he was allegedly abducted from the Old Mughal Road.
He was part of the Sameer Tiger encounter that was led by Major Rohit Shukla of 44 Rashtriya Rifles, who was allegedly threatened by the top Hizbul commander.
The encounter took place in Drubgam, considered as a hotbed of militancy.
Sources said Sameer Tiger, an ‘A++ category’ terrorist was killed hours after he threatened Major Rohit Shukla of 44 RR in a video. The video apparently was leaked by Hizbul’s social media team where Sameer Tiger challenged major Shukla for a face-to-face encounter.
