PGIMER Chandigarh provided training of health workers on mobile based IMNCI Application

A training-cum-hands on demonstration of mobile based application on effective implementation of IMNCI program of Government of India was organized by School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh in CHC, Shahzadpur today.

The training is a part of an ICMR project to empower health workers and doctors in using smart technology in national health programs. Dr. Sonu Goel, Principal Investigator and Additional professor, PGIMER, Chandigarh and his team Dr. Nisha, RA and Dr Alka, JRF discussed the importance of project and undertook demonstration of mobile application which were followed by scenario based exercises.

During the training samsung mobile tablets were distributed to ANMs. The training was attended by medical officers, LHV and ANMs of 10 sub centres. Dr. Taru prasad, SMO, Shahzadpur and Dr. Harpinder, MO, Shahzadpur appreciated the enterprise and efforts of research team in strengthening IMNCI program and said that this project will improvise the child health care at community levels through this innovation platform of mobile application.

Mr. Manav Chaudhary, the healthcare technology expert and CEO of the team (Sidekick Edge pvt ltd) which developed the smart health platform for this project was also present.
