Kargil: Nassir reviews arrangements for language script course

KARGIL, DECEMBER 21: Acting Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Nassir Hussain Munshi today reviewed the arrangements for the conduct of free basic course on Ladakhi/Purgi/Balti script E-Gay in a meeting at Council Secretariat.

The course is being conducted by LAHDC Kargil and the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS) Leh at Kargil.

The meeting discussed venue of the course, advance publicity through print and electronic media, registration of the participants, boarding, lodging and transport facilities for the course instructors besides other related issues came up for a thorough discussion.

It was informed in the meeting that the one-week free course commencing from January 1, 2019 will be held at Language Center of J&K Cultural Academy Kargil.

The Acting CEC instructed the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kargil to furnish the list of interested teachers from different educational zones of the district to the District Cultural Officer Kargil within a period of 2 days so that their registration is processed well in time.

The CEC also directed the District Cultural Officer Kargil to make proper publicity of the course through print and electronic media so as to ensure the participation of maximum number of trainees in the course.

While appreciating the initiative of CIBS for conducting the free course on local script, the Acting Chairman assured all out support for smooth conduct of the training programme.

Among other who attended the meeting included District Cultural Officer Muhammad Ali Tak, Research Officer CIBS Dr KunchokRigzin, Course Coordinator and Copy Editor RNU, AIR, KargilAnayat Ali and other concerned officers.
