MUMBAI: Maratha groups call off quota stir citing that they are calling off the strike in wake of the fact that the bandh was getting violent.
However Maratha leaders on the fore front of the stir said that the violence and arson are being reported from areas where they have not announced any protest indicating that the violence is a criminal political conspiracy against the stir to defame it.
The agitating Maratha groups also criticised the attitude of the state govt. towards the protests and slammed the treatment meted out to the protesters.
