Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
“A police party of Police Post Watergam headed by DO Watergam laid a naka in their jurisdiction. During naka checking, a car bearing registration number JK05F-4926 was intercepted,” said a spokesman.
On checking of the car, he said five strips of Spasmoproxyvan were recovered from the possession of Danish Mir of Behrampora.
“In this regard, a case FIR number 120/2018 under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation has been taken up,” he said.
