SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 25: Azad Cultural Society Thearin Kandi Shopian in collaboration with District Information Centre Shopian, today organized a ‘Hussainie Mushaira’ at Parvana Public School Thearin Kandi Shopian. Prominent poets, authors, Staff and students of the institute took part in the daylong event.
The Mushaira was conducted under the theme of YoumiAshoora. About ten poets took part and recited their poetry in honor and respect of Imam Hussain (AS).
Bashir Ahmad Parwanacovenor of the event on the occasion, said that aim and objective of organizing such events was mainly to protect and preserve cultural heritage and diversity. “We are trying our best to reach to young and talented youth and involve them to know and adopt cultural heritage, which is a preserved gift from our ancestors”. He further hailed the active support of District Information Centre Shopian for its support in organizing the event.
