The police have arrested one of the three accused in the case of a Ram Darbar resident’s murder.
The accused has been identified as Ram Kumar (30).
Bunty, a resident of Ram Darbar, was shot in full public view on September 20 when he, along with his wife, was heading towards their home. The victim’s wife, Babli, had stated that Bunty and his friends Ram Kumar, Munna and Gaurav were living in a rented accommodation and the rent was given by them in turns. She had stated that an altercation over rent was the reason behind the murder.
The victim had succumbed to his injuries on September 23 during treatment at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32. Following this, Section 302 (murder) was added to the case.
The accused was produced before a court, which sent him to five-day police remand to recover the weapon used in the crime and nab the other accused in the case.
