Muzaffarnagar, Sep 29: A Muzaffarnagar court convicted a person on Saturday and sentenced him to life imprisonment for the murder of a man here.
Additional district sessions judge Punam Rajput also slapped a fine of Rs 40,000 on Brahm singh after holding him guilty under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
According to government lawyer Ritu Choudhry, On February 27, 2012, Kiranpal was stabbed to death by Singh in Kurthal village in the district after he denied money for liquor.
A case was lodged in this connection on the basis of a complaint filed by the deceased’s brother Sompal.PTI
