KISHTWAR, JANUARY 02: As a measure of generating awareness among the women folk of the remote areas of District Kishtwar, J&K State Commission for protection of women and children organised a legal awareness programme here at Chattroo.
Secretary J&K WC, Dr Khalid Hussain Malik presided over the programme.
Tehsildar Arun Kumar, BDO Muzaffar Wani, CDPO Mohammad Aslam and officers and officials of line departments participated in the Awareness Programme.
Social activist and consultative member of the commission Nidhi Sharma and Advocate Anjali Sharma from DLSA threw light on various women issues and their remedial measures available with the J&K state commission for women.
The programme witnessed an interactive session between the resource persons and participants and officers of local administration.
Around two hundred women and children attended the programme.
Anganwadi Workers, Asha Workers and women and children from other public institutions were sensitized about their rights and duties.
