BARAMULLA, JANUARY 02: District Development Commissioner, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash today chaired a meeting of senior PDD functionaries to review progress on power sector centrally sponsored schemes and overall power scenario, besides the status of ongoing development works taken up by the department in the district under different schemes.
On the occasion, the DDC inquired about the availability, demand and supply position of power supply in the district. He stressed upon the concerned authorities to speed up the pace of work on the power projects taken up in hand in the district, and ensure completion of these works within the stipulated period. The status of implementation of schemes including DDUJY, Subghaya, RAPDRP, IPDS, PMDP was discussed threadbare during the meeting.
He urged the officers to fallow curtailment schedule strictly and provide the power supply to the public as per schedule. He also stressed upon arranging buffer stock of transformers and upgradation of receiving stations within a stipulated time.
Director Planning AG Malik, SE PDD, Executive Engineer PDD Baramulla Nazir Ahmad Malik, Exn PDD Sopore, Pattan,Uri, Tangmarg, Exn Project Management Agency and various other concerned engineers and officer were present in the meeting.
