Jammu: International Delhi Public School organized virtual event’ BE A NEWSIE’ YOUNG CORRESPONDENT COMPETITION, in which 22 schools from different parts of J&K took part.
Students portrayed themselves as reporter of different channel and spoke for 2 minutes on the three topics- current education scenario in their school, the situation of health care facilities in the present circumstances and the psychological resilience of the students in the current scenario.
Judgment was done on the basis of confidence & delivery, strength & diversity of the story, motivation behind the story and originality of the content & unique perspective.
Young correspondent competition, a platform for young voices to be heard and an opportunity to comprehend perspectives and understand what really matters to them in the form original and inspiring reporting as news anchors. Be a Newsie – Young Correspondents Competition will not only help the young minds to enhance their oratory skills, but will build up their confidence levels reflecting their creativity and imagination reporting their unique and diverse stories.
Ms. Anuradha Gupta – Director School Education, (KAS) Jammu was the chief guest and appreciated the team behind the event and the essence behind the event. Ms. Parveen Baru – Ex Senior Manager, Times Of India (Jammu) and Dr. Hitu Gambhir – Martect, Media (Consulting & Solution Expert) were the Jury Members.
IDPS Management and principal Ms. Randeep Wazir thanked the chief guest and jury members for giving valuable guidance to the students and congratulates all the participants and wishes them good luck for future Endeavour.
