SAD, AAP MLAs stage walkout in Punjab Assembly to protest against govt ‘not keeping’ promises

Chandigarh, January 16: On the opening day of the two-day session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, as Governor VP Singh Badnore began his address, SAD legislators started raising slogans, waving placards on ‘non-fulfilment’ of promises made in 2017 by the Congress government.

Rebel SAD MLA Parminder Dhindsa was conpicuous by his absence.

AAP MLA Aman Arora, along with party MLAs, walked to the Well of the House to protest against the alleged failure of the Congress government in keeping poll promises.

Later, AAP MLAs staged a walkout. SAD MLAs also followed suit.
