CEO SAMBA CONDUCTS ONE DAY ORIENTATION PROGRAMME ON HIV/ AIDS

Chief Education Office Samba conducted one day orientation programme on HIV/AIDS under adolsence Eduaction Programme (AEP) in collaboration with J&K Aids- control society. The programme was meticulosly planned and nicely executed in DIET Complex Samba. One hundred teachers both in 50:50 ratio drawn from all higher secondaries and Govt. High Schools attended the programme.
Chief Education Officer Samba Sh. Kewal Krishan in his opening remarks threw light on the importance of adolescance programme as this equips every adolecent with all necessary skills and competencies so that they can understand their growing up with ease and confidence.He asked all teachers to disseminate the learnings of the programme with their students growing under their wings.
Romesh Sharma, Sr. Lect and District Councelling coordinator took detailed and extensive session on HIV/Aids
vis-a-vis its genesis, prevalence, mode of transmission systoms, window period, risky behaviour, testing/ diagnosis, treatment options available, misconceptions/ myths associated with the HID/Aids.
Namrata Sharma, another resource person educated the teacher councellors about the needs and problms of the adolesecents with their remedies.
Sumptuous lunch and tea was served to the participants.
At last, Chief Education Officer Samba presented certificates of participation to the participants.
