Doda, June 4 – Dr. Rishi Kumar Manhas, Cluster Head of HSS Boys Doda, today convened a crucial meeting with Heads of Institutions (HOIs) from feeder schools to significantly enhance academic accountability and drive institutional improvement. This initiative follows directives from the Directorate of School Education Jammu.

The meeting primarily focused on reviewing the current academic session and developing strategies to strengthen foundational learning, especially reading and writing skills among students. Dr. Manhas stressed the immediate need to identify students struggling with basic literacy and implement targeted support to help them improve before the academic year concludes.

“All HOIs are tasked with filling in the school profile via the Directorate’s chatbot,” Dr. Manhas stated. He added that this process will be supervised at the cluster level to ensure accurate and timely submission, with HOIs instructed to compile comprehensive data for upload through designated Directorate forms.

During the session, Dr. Manhas also proposed a collective initiative to establish a Book Bank in each school. Under this plan, free textbooks distributed to students would be returned to the school library at the end of the academic year. This ensures that sufficient textbook resources are available for new students in the subsequent session.

Dr. Manhas concluded by urging all HOIs to dedicate themselves to the academic welfare of their students, emphasizing that “through coordinated efforts and focused interventions, academic excellence can be established across all schools in the cluster.”
