Doda, June 18-A transformative three-day awareness and training workshop centered on Artificial Intelligence (AI) coding, educational technology (Ed-Tech), indigenous cultural preservation, and skill enhancement concluded successfully at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Ghat, District Doda.
The programme, a key initiative under Samagra Shiksha, was conducted under the insightful supervision of the State Project Director (SPD) Samagra, with strategic support from the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Doda, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Ghat, and Cluster Head cum Principal of GHSS Ghat.
The training was led by expert resource persons Mr. Waleed and Mr. Amir Khan from Samagra Shiksha, who delivered interactive sessions designed to equip teachers with essential knowledge on integrating AI tools, digital learning methodologies, and culturally rooted content into classroom practices.
A total of 42 teachers from across the Ghat zone actively participated in the sessions, demonstrating commendable enthusiasm and commitment throughout the duration of the workshop.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Dinesh Kumar, Principal GHSS Ghat and the coordinator of the programme, stressed the importance of applying the skills and insights gained during the training to enrich the learning experience in schools. He highlighted the dual focus of the initiative—adopting cutting-edge educational technology while preserving the ethos of local culture—as essential for nurturing well-rounded, future-ready students.
The workshop has been widely appreciated for bridging the gap between tradition and innovation, and is expected to have a lasting impact on pedagogical practices in the region.
This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of Samagra Shiksha to empower educators, enhance classroom learning, and foster holistic education across Jammu & Kashmir.
