A comprehensive awareness lecture under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was delivered by officials of the District Social Welfare Office Reasi at PM Shri Govt. High School Nomain on 13th February 2026.
The programme was organised with the objective of spreading awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The officials sensitised the students about the physical, psychological, and social consequences of substance abuse and encouraged them to become ambassadors of the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign in their communities.
The speakers highlighted the importance of early prevention, positive peer influence, and active participation of youth in eradicating the menace of drugs from society. Students were also informed about the available support systems and helplines for individuals seeking help and rehabilitation.
The Head of the Institution appreciated the initiative of the District Social Welfare Department and emphasized the collective responsibility of teachers, parents, and students in building a drug-free society.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion where students actively participated and took a pledge to stay away from drugs and contribute towards making District Reasi a drug-free district.
