CEO Kathua Inspects Border and Remote Area Schools, Reviews Academic Environment and Infrastructure

Kathua, February 24, 2026: With the objective of reviewing academic standards and ensuring the smooth functioning of educational institutions in border and remote areas, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kathua, Shri Kewal Krishan, today conducted a comprehensive inspection of selected schools.

During the visit, he inspected Government Higher Secondary School Chakra and Government Middle School Ladwal, situated in border villages. The inspection focused on assessing the academic environment, infrastructure, library facilities, cleanliness, classroom arrangements, and overall school functioning.

At Government Higher Secondary School Chakra, Shri Kewal Krishan inspected the school library and held an interaction with the staff. He encouraged the promotion of reading habits among students and underlined the role of libraries in strengthening academic foundations. He also observed that students were appearing in their examinations during the visit and appreciated the disciplined and orderly conduct of the papers.
At Government Middle School Ladwal, the officer carried out a detailed inspection of the entire infrastructure and conducted a meeting with the staff.

He expressed satisfaction over the smooth functioning of the school and issued necessary directions for further improvement wherever required.

While interacting with the staff, Shri Kewal Krishan emphasized that border and far-flung areas deserve better educational facilities and continued support, so that students studying in these regions receive quality education and equal learning opportunities.

He urged teachers to continue their dedicated efforts and adopt student-centric teaching practices.
