Today students of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua organized a surprise programme for their teachers. They arranged a small function to honour them. The students presented gala show of cultural items in the form of skits, songs, dances to show their respect, gratitude and love for their teachers. The senior students were dressed up as teachers and Principal playing their roles. Students managed the classes and organized function themselves. Besides cake cutting ceremony was also done by the principal and teachers.
All the teachers were relaxed and enjoyed the function. They also played lot of games. Principal Shuchita Gupta said that we celebrate Teachers day on 5th September every year in India. September 5th is marked by the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and the Teachers day is celebrated in commemoration of his birthday.
She expressed her views on the role of teacher in providing true purpose of education and said education would fail ignominiously in its objectives if it manufactures robot and calls him an economic man forgetting the substansive man. She motivated them and asked them to take pledge that we will always be dedicated to our profession and impart conceptual and quality education. This will be the right tribute to our educationist Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. She wished all the teachers a happy teachers’ day and appreciated the efforts of the students and wished them good luck for their future.
