DLSA organizes legal awareness camp at Kathua

KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 29: A legal awareness camp was today organized regarding ‘Rights of Senior Citizens’ here at Old Age Home Kathua.

The camp was held under the chairmanship of chairman District Legal Services Authority, Sanjeev Gupta(Pr. District & Sessions Judge Kathua). Spl. Mobile Magistrate Kathua, Sunil Sangra and Munsiff JMIC Kathua, Preet Simran Kour were the chief guests of the programme. All the retainer lawyers of DLSA and TLSC Kathua were also present in the programme.

The main objective of the programme was to highlight various NALSA schemes including the rights of the senior citizens.

The experts informed to the public that as per the scheme the persons above the age of 60 years have been considered as senior citizens and he is entitled to obtain various facilities as per the provisions of the scheme. They said that DLSA is planning to involve PLVs in an elaborate way for creating awareness rights of senior citizens.
