The Mohlai CIA staff arrested a hardcore criminal, Jujhar Singh, alias Soni, alias Simranjeet Singh, with a country-made pistol, 15 live cartridges, about 500-gm intoxicant powder and a motorcycle.
Varun Sharma, SP (Investigation), said they got information that the accused, who was from Amritsar and had been declared a proclaimed offender (PO) in many cases, was coming on a motorcycle towards Mohali and possessed narcotics. The police arrested him near Dara Studio Chowk, Mohali. A case has been registered. — OC
