YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was injured in a knife attack at Vizag airport on Thursday.
Reddy received a cut on his arm and was provided first aid at the airport lounge.
The attacker was taken into custody by airport security and handed over to police.
Jagan’s follower G Amarnadha Reddy said the attacker approached the politician on the pretext of offering him a cup of coffee.
The YSRC leader was on his way to Hyderabad after winding up his ‘padayatra’ in Saluru of Vizianagaram district.
