MENDHAR, JUNE 11: SDM Tanvir Ahmad Khan convened a meeting to finalized arrangements for Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr, here today.
SDM discussed in detailed the arrangements being put in place by the administration for smooth conduct of the religious festival.
Directions were given to PDD to avoid curtailment at Iftaar, Sehri and prayer times with uninterrupted supply on the day of Eid. PHE was asked to ensure adequate supply of water in the town with uninterrupted supply to Eidgah on the day of Eid.
The Police department was asked to ensure proper security arrangement especially around Eidgah on Eid as well on the night of Shab-e-Qadr. To ensure hassle free movement of vehicles and people on Eid, Traffic department was directed to frame traffic management plan and ensure its regulation by deploying sufficient number of personnel in the town.
Health Department was asked to keep the ambulance along with doctors and medicines ready at Mendhar, Balakote and Mankote divisions. The municipal committee was asked to intensify sanitation and install dustbins at suitable places.
The SDM directed the concerned to intensify market checking of quality, quantity and prices of essential commodities. Other arrangements including stock and supply of ration, LPG Cylinders, were also reviewed and necessary directions were passed to the concerned.
SDPO, BMO, TSO, BDO, Assistant Executive Engineers of PHE and PDD, religious leaders and representatives of Beopaar Mandal were present in the meeting.
