The unfathomable ocean of talent in the youth of Kashmir found expression in an absolutely mesmerising and absorbing display in a grand Talent Hunt Show organised by Naidkhai Army Camp on 05 May 2018. The competition was held in Solo Song, Group Song, Kashmiri Folk Dance, Drama & show your own talent categories.
A whooping strength of over 2500 students from different schools and colleges of Bandipora, Sopore, Budgam, Srinagar, Baramulla, Kupwara & Ganderbal displayed their talent to rapt audience.
The aim of organising this event was to provide a platform to the youth to showcase their talent. An interactive session was also organised over a cup of tea. Army presented its perspective of prevailing situation in valley and motivated the youth to concentrate on productive and nation building endeavors. Youth also carried out open and candid interaction by presenting their own view point.
Eminent personalities of J&K attended the programme including Kashmir’s most famous Actor & Comedian Qayoom Badshah, Prominent Sufi Singer & You Tube Sensation Shameema Akhter and Promising Kashmiri Singer Uzair Javaid graced the occasion and judged the budding talent of Kashmir.
The overwhelmed students, teachers and audiences appreciated the Army for organizing an event that provided a distraction from the tense environment propagating in the valley. Voluntary participation of significant number of youth from the larger areas of North, Central & South Kashmir indicates yearning for normal routine to return.
