Gehlot, Pilot’s oath ceremony at Jaipur’s Albert Hall tomorrow


Jaipur, December 16: Governor of Rajasthan Kalyan Singh will administer the oath of office and Constitution to Chief Minister-designate Ashok Gehlot and Deputy Chief Minister-designate Sachin Pilot at a special swearing-in ceremony on Monday at 10.30 am on the front side of ancient Albert Hall Museum here.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi and top 20 leaders of the opposition parties ‘Mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) would participate in the oath-taking ceremony, AICC spokesman Pawan Kheda told a press conference on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Gehlot and Pilot separately visited the venue and directed the officials to make foolproof security arrangements for VVIPs and sitting arrangements for public. 

Gehlot, who is also AICC General Secretary (Organisation), has sent invites to former prime ministers Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda, and grand alliance leaders Farooq Abdullah, Chandrababu Naidu, Sharad Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, MK Stalin, M Kanimozhi, Hemant Soren, Babulal Marandi and Congress MP Mallikarjun Kharge, among others.
