Activist Swami Agnivesh was assaulted by a fringe group in Jharkhand on Tuesday. He is now under medical care. The alleged BJP workers had shown black flags and raised slogans against him.
Swami Agnivesh told a private TV channel, “I am alive by God’s grace. It was a murderous assault on me. Don’t know the reason why they beat me.”
“I think this was a sponsored attack. Have not been given any security. The attack is a conspiracy,” said Agnivesh. More details awaited.
