Two people died and three were injured after a roof collapsed in Delhi’s Dwarka early on Monday. The incident happened at Hari Vihar of North Dwarka at 1 am last night.
The roof collapse of a house near Dwarka’s Kakrola Dairy claimed the lives of two members of a family of five– Sunil, 40, and his wife, Rachna (40). Their three children, who were also trapped under the debris, sustained injuries but are stable now.
The eldest son of the family, Vaibhav, told the police that due to leakage of water in their house, the iron rods holding the roof became weak. The roof collapsed because the rods were unable to take the load of the roof.
