Gangster joining Cong shows party’s desperate bid to win LS polls: SAD

Patiala, April 8:The SAD has accused the Congress of backing the gangsters in the state so that they could allegedly win the Lok Sabha elections by hook or crook.

An alleged gangster had joined the Congress last week and the local leaders have termed it a desperate bid by the Congress to win the elections.The SAD said: “A turncoat Congress leader is said to be behind this move of making these gangsters join the party.”

Sources within the intelligence confirmed that the gangster who joined the Congress carried a ransom of Rs 50,000 reward. “This is how a deadly politico-gangster nexus hurts the police and the society,” said a top officer.
