Howrah – New Delhi Rajdhani Express Bomb Scare: Train Vacated and Halted at Ghaziabad After Threat Call, Bomb Squad Pressed Into Service

Following a bomb threat call on Saturday, the Howrah – New Delhi Rajdhani Express train was halted and vacated at Ghaziabad station. Reports inform that the Express train departed from New Delhi Railway Station earlier on Saturday morning.

The bomb call was received at the station, Following the call, the bomb squad with dogs and other devices were pressed into service. The train has been vacated and the checking in the train is underway.

Reports inform that nearly 202 railway stations across Indian Railways network have been identified as sensitive for the implementation of an Integrated Security System. These railway stations are likely to have CCTV cameras, personnel as well as baggage screening system and bomb detection system.
