GANDERBAL, MAY 26:- A day-long ‘Descent of the Quran’ (Nazool-i-Quran) Conference was held at Qamaria Model Higher Secondary Educational Institute Saloora, here today.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla was also present on the occasion.
The Conference was attended by a large number of religious scholars, academicians, and people from different walks of life. Students from different schools attended the conference and participated in an inter-school debate.
On the occasion, the DC lauded the role of Qamaria Muslim Wakf Trust and Qamaria Institute for organizing such events which inculcate a sense of humanity and morality in the Society.
Oher speakers, on the occasion, stressed upon following the teachings of Islam for achieving salvation and for the promotion of the overall well-being of the people.
An inter-school debate was also held after which winners of the contest were awarded
