POONCH MAY 28: The district administration Poonch provided relief assistance of Rs 18000 to the families of children drowned today in river Poonch.
Three children died in Poonch due to drowning while they were taking bath in the river. All the three dead bodies were recovered by team of Revenue, Police and SDRF officials with active support of locals.
The deceased identified as Mussarat Hussain s/o Khalil Ahmed age 15 years, Imran Khan s/o Mukhtar Hussain age 16 years and Mohd Altaf s/o Abdul Ahad age 15 years, all three residents of Mohalla Kamsar Poonch.
The district administration Poonch headed by the Deputy Commissioner Poonch Mohammad Aijaz Asad expressed shock and grief over the unfortunate incident. The administration also provided total relief assistance of Rs 18000 to the three families of the deceased children for performing last rites/burial ceremony.
