The Sikhs are upset beyond words at the audacity of Gucci for selling a turban for an absolutely insane price of Rs 55,459 (USD 790).

They have demanded the fashion brand to take down the turbans and have criticised it for using the turbans as a product of fashion, which otherwise is an article of faith for Sikhs.Expressing his angry,  Harjinder Singh Kukreja, tweeted, “Dear @gucci, the Sikh Turban is not a hot new accessory for white models but an article of faith for practising Sikhs. Your models have used Turbans as ‘hats’ whereas practising Sikhs tie them neatly fold-by-fold. Using fake Sikhs/Turbans is worse than selling fake Gucci products”.

The Online fashion store, Nordstrom is selling Gucci turbans by calling them, ‘Indy Full Turban” and the product is explained as, “A gorgeously crafted turban, which is ready to turn heads while keeping you in comfort and in style.” The turbans are being delivered for free and are available is only one size.
