Army men open fire after noticing suspicious movement in Shopian, area cordoned off

An army patrol fired several shots in the air at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday afternoon.
A police official said that the army personnel fired several shots in the air in Heff Shirmal village of the district after observing some suspicious movement.
He said the patrol was passing through a vast farming land when the incident occurred.
The area, according to the official, was cordoned off and more reinforcements were rushed to the spot.
