Directorate Of School Education Jammu organizes mega live telecast of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020 by PM.

Directorate of School Education Jammu today organized a mega show revolving around the live telecast of Prime Minister  Narendra Modi’s interaction with students : “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020- Pariksha Ki Baat, PM Ke Saath”. 

This was the third edition of PM Modi’s interaction with students across the nation on various aspects concerning examinations.

The mega event was held at Teacher’s Bhawan auditorium Gandhi Nagar Jammu where approximately 650 students from different govt. schools of Jammu Division watched this live interaction being held at Taal Katora stadium New Delhi.

 Commissioner Secretary School Education Hirdesh K. Singh, Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta and State Project Director Samagra Shiksha Dr. Arun Manhas also watched the programme along with the students.

Students appreciated the programme as it really benefitted them before the board exams. They got some handy tips to handle examinations effectively.

     Similar live telecasts of the same event were also organized in all the government schools (High and Higher secondary) of Jammu Division. 
Orders in this regard were already issued by Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta.

     Pamphlets regarding telecounselling helpline by counselling cell of Directorate of School education Jammu were also distributed so that students undergoing any exam related issue can contact and seek help.
 Romesh Kumar Sharma, Head counselling cell at Directorate of School Education Jammu oriented the students before and after the programme so that they derive maximum benefit out of it. 
Question answer session was also held after the live telecast to answer the queries of the students related to examinations.

Pertinently out of the 8 students from Jammu and Kashmir UT, 6 students shortlisted to attend the live programme held at New Delhi are from Government Schools of Jammu Division and they have gone to New Delhi to attend the same programme in person. They were shortlisted out of 4500 students from all over J&K UT through a contest. 

Karishma Raina, a student of class XI, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Nowabad Jammu, got selected to ask PM Modi a question during the event.

Directorate Of School Education Jammu has already initiated many counselling initiatives to help manage the stress of students including examination stress. 
In the coming days mass group counselling sessions as per the counselling calendar of Directorate will be held in schools to  handhold and guide the students.

Mr. Yasser Rasool Mir, Media incharge DSEJ, Mr. Surjeet, Incharge Cultural Cell, Deepak Sharma, Research officer SIE Jammu, coordinated the event successfuly for which the Director School Education Anuradha Gupta congratulated them and asked them to lay stress on such similar activities which will help the students in combating stress and other examinations related issues.
