Cop Killed By Unknown Gunmen In Batamaloo, Srinagar
Srinagar: Late Sunday evening, at around 8 PM, unidentified gunmen fired at a policeman in the S.D. Colony of Batamaloo area, Srinagar and critically wounded him.
The victim identified as Constable Tawseef Ahmad Wani, son of Late Mohammad Usman Wani resident of Batamaloo succumbed to his injuries.
The area has been cordoned off and search operations are being carried out. A case has been registered under relevant sections and further investigations are being carried out, said a senior police officer while talking to Paigaam news.
